How It Works
The hand control lever mechanically operates the vehicle pedals in an automatic vehicle:
- Pullto accelerate - squeeze the handle with your fingers
- Pushto brake - use palm of hand or fingertips
Optional Integral Indicator Switch
We strongly recommend adding the integral indicator switch, particularly if you're learning to drive or taking your test with hand controls. From our experience, having indicators at your fingertips significantly improves driving confidence and safety.
Note: The indicator switch, along with a steering aid, are usually a requirement for drivers taking their driving test with hand controls.
